Corporate Information

In 1954, ASECU was founded specifically for Alabama State Employees. Since then, ASECU has significantly expanded its product and service offerings while opening its doors to members of the community. With a community charter granted in 2001, ASECU was allowed to expand its membership to people living or working in nine surrounding counties of Montgomery. As one of the oldest credit unions in the state, ASECU started doing business based on personal relationships with its members and today it continues to place great importance on knowing its members and providing personal service.

ASECU has continuously received the prestigious 5-star Superior Rating, the highest awarded, from Bauer Financial, Inc., the nations' leading independent credit union research firm. This award denotes the highest level of strength, safety and performance and marks Alabama State Employees Credit Union 24th consecutive 5-star rating. This achievement earns Alabama State Employees Credit Union Bauer Financial's coveted Exceptional Performance Rating, a distinction only 20% of the nation's credit unions may claim.
